We’re the UK’s largest web host and we’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic web designer to join the New Media team in our spanking-new offices near Heathrow.

You’ll be working across our three web hosting brands: WebFusion, Donhost and 123-reg. You’ll be producing clean, attractive, designs which are visitor friendly.

The day-to-day tasks will include designing and building bomb-proof templates and user interfaces, as well as working on Flash banners, site changes and product updates.

You understand why accessibility, usability and compatibility are important. As a crucial member of our team, you’ll champion these causes to help us improve our web pages, visitor experience and sales revenue.

You’ll know a bit about search engine optimisation and be able to monitor and improve our SEO performance.

About us

Our offices are situated on Stockley Park. Just a couple of miles from Heathrow, this leafy business park is tucked away from the flightpaths and puts us in a great location – we’ve got heaps of free parking, we’re right off the motorway and we’re easily reached by public transport too.

A bunch of other IT companies are based here, and there are plenty of onsite amenities to keep you entertained at lunch time.

Core functions

• Design and build great websites and templates for our customer facing sites
• Support the development team and design intuitive interfaces for our control panels
• Produce cross-browser compatible XHTML-CSS code valid to W3C specifications
• Create compelling branded site artwork and illustrations
• Increase site traffic through the creation of compelling Flash / GIF banners
• Improve visitor experience, and sales revenue
• Assist with site and product updates

• Keep up-to-date with latest web technologies and skills (we think this is really important and will give you time to do this)

Skills required

• Expert in XHTML-CSS (table-free, valid to W3C)
• Fluent in Dreamweaver, Fireworks / PhotoShop, Illustrator and Flash
• A flair for good web / graphic design and an eye for improving web pages

• Strong artwork / illustration skills.
