The Comcast Programming Group has a Los Angeles-based TV network looking for a Front End Developer - this is a contract assignment:
Job Description:
Web Designer, Front End Developer, Web Developer, UI Designer - CSS, HTML, Javascript, design.
Required Skills:
• 4+ years of professional web design experience including optimizing of sites for performance, conversion, and search engine rankings (SEO)
• Fluency in CSS, HTML and JavaScript with understanding of cross-browser design issues and clean work-arounds.
• Fluency in Photoshop and Illustrator for creating stunning designs.
• Ability to conform to XHTML standards and creating “table-less” markup by using CSS.
• Portfolio demonstrating ability to create professional, creative, intuitive, and effective designs for the web.
• Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ambitious problem solver with passion for online businesses.
Optional skills as a plus:
• Experience designing for e-commerce sites.
• Experience designing promotional emails and applying techniques that will prevent mail from being delivered to the “junk mail” folder.
• Experience in flash design and development.
• Experience with ASP.NET C# and SQL
• Experience with Visual Studio and SVN.
What you'll be doing:
• Contributing to the development of our high-traffic consumer web
• Designing and developing the front-end of our websites from concept to integration into the production environment
• Designing promotional web banners and emails and contributing to the overall design needs of the company.
• Optimizing sites and improving search engine optimization
• Performing competitive analysis
• Testing of variations, application of best practices, and understanding of consumer behavior from reports and database queries.
