Web Application Interface Developer

Resonate Networks, a dynamic online advertising network start-up, is seeking a Web Application Interface Developer. The Web Application Interface Developer position is a crucial role in the success of Resonate’s ‘Attitudinal Targeting’ platform, the proprietary model by which Resonate performs online ad targeting for its public affairs, political, and corporate customers. This position is a web interface design and development position. The candidate must have considerable experience designing and developing web applications as opposed to web pages, although a combination of experience doing both is acceptable. Previous experience developing web applications for Software as a Service (SaaS) business model is preferred. The individual should be able to quickly understand and gain knowledge of the business areas which they are supporting and must have the ability to execute in a fast paced team environment. The candidate will be responsible for Resonate’s web interface design/development and will lead web interface development activities in the implementation Resonate’s unique online ad targeting technology. Qualifications & Experience Requirements
• 5 - 7 years of overall web application interface design and development.
• 3 + years experience in launching successful interactive web applications as a key member of a web development, application development, or user experience team.
• Experience in advertising network, digital media agency, or other advertising related experience a plus.
• Experience with SaaS platform UI design and development, especially for Business Intelligence and performance management
• Experience with customer facing portals and web sites
• True start-up mentality and experience with short (Agile, Scrum, Iterative) software lifecycles.
• A proven track record of launching interactive web applications.
• Mastery of one or more of the following web technologies HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jquery, Ajax, JSP, XML, XSLT, Adobe Flex, and Web 2.0 technologies. Preference given to Ajax, jquery, Adobe Flex, CSS, JavaScript
• Previous experience working with a Java/J2EE environment using Struts, Springs, Dojo
• Experience developing data driven web applications in Ruby, Java/JSP, Perl or PHP with multiple RDBMS like Oracle, MySql and Postgres. Preference given to Java/JSP, PHP
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software development principles.
• Strong understanding of web-based architecture (web servers, load balancing, caching, databases, replication, etc.).
• Understanding of version control techniques (Subversion, CVS, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
