Web/UI Developer
at U30 Group in Knoxville, TN
U30 is a full-service consumer insights agency specializing in crafting custom market research tools that run the gamut from websites, flash animations, custom communities and forums to traditional online surveys.
We are currently seeking a full-time Web/UI Designer. The ideal candidate is capable designing, creating, and maintaining user-friendly and interactive web portals and forums. Visual design, Action Script, and web development/back end coding skills are a major plus. They are self-motivated to learn the latest trend in Web 2.0 apps, as well as understanding the correct situations to employ them. They are highly organized (in both schedule and coding). They have an undying drive to “get it right” even in a fast-pace, tight-deadline environment. And they are able to do it all by themselves or as part of a larger team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Recommend, design, script (code) and implement graphic and interactive solutions for clients as required
•Transform scripts and visualizations into fluid, highly kinetic motion graphic animations
•Translate concepts and information into visually compelling user interfaces under tight deadlines
•Be creative working within corporate client style guides, templates and existing elements
•Work closely with account directors and analysts or, on projects of smaller scale, be self-directed
REQUIREMENTS:
•Solid skill and experience with CSS, MySQL, PHP, HTML, Flash, and Java scripting
•Ability to coordinate multiple projects and provide varying levels of programming support to clients and staff
•Working knowledge of back-end web development and integration with databases using MySQL
•Experience with the full web development process, from creation to launch
•General knowledge of and ability to stay current with social media tools and multi-media software
•Experience designing communities and other social media tools a major plus
•Willingness to work non-standard hours when required
