full time Manager/Lead Developer, Front-End Web Development (JavaScript, XSL, CSS, XHTML)

You will manage and serve as hands-on Lead Developer in the development of responsive and elegant cross-platform functionality with XSL, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, and CSS; site-wide navigation and e-commerce; search and product pages, as well as create new and exciting features for our world-class site using the latest Web 2.0 technologies. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead site-wide technical design and architecture of XSL/XSLT, CSS, and XHTML
  • Work directly with business owners, information architects, designers, and developers to meet functional requirements
  • Continually incorporate best practices into team work
  • Prototype, develop, test, maintain and troubleshoot client functionality in a multi-browser environment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in front-end web development
  • 2+ years managing a team of front-end web developers
  • Expert knowledge of XSL/XSLT, XML CSS, XHTML, DHTML, Javascript
  • Extensive experience using Javascript/AJAX Frameworks (ideally JQuery) to develop cross-browser compatible AJAX applications
  • Knowledge of cross-browser limitations and work-arounds.
  • Strong project management skills and experience working on, and delivering, multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with Flex 2.0 and ActionScript 3 a plus
  • BA/BS, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science or related technical discipline a plus
