Senior Web Developer



The NFL Digital Media Group is seeking a Senior Web Developer to join a team of developers that will create various web applications from inception to launch and beyond. The web applications range from internal tools to public facing, high volume websites. The web development team specializes in front end technologies such as JSP, Flash, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, JSON, and DHTML



Job Responsibilities:

· Primary responsibilities include coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of the NFL’s evolving digital media applications

· Innovation, development and support for all front-end, online product initiatives

· Design and develop software applications that provide NFL fans with the optimal online football experience

· Work closely with other web developers, software engineers, quality assurance, and production groups to design, develop, test, implement and support new front-end applications, systems and tools

· Participate in the development and preparation of documentation for, but not limited to, procedural, program and user documentation



Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science

· 5+ years demonstrated experience using Flash, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS, and W3C DOM methods and properties

· Experience developing for cross-platform/browser compatibility

· Experience with full life cycle development

· Ability to handle multiple projects at once while meeting aggressive production deadlines

· Ability to effectively communicate with various business stakeholders, both internal and external

· Experience working with existing Javascript libraries such as Prototype and Scriptaculous a plus

· Experience with AJAX frameworks; experience with Direct Web Remoting, and/or JSON-RPC a plus

· Experience with XML, XSLT, Java Server Pages; working knowledge of JSTL a plus

· Strong written and oral command of the English language

· Familiarity with online media and sports industry a plus
