Javascript Developer w/ JQuery
at TEKsystems in San Francisco, CA
Our client is seeking a highly experienced, expert JavaScript/CSS Developer. The main focus is client-side JavaScript with jQuery, Dojo and CSS to build and extend user-facing portions of the free online gaming site. The role also requires experience working with server side technologies (php and or java). This is a hands-on production coding role, including research, planning, task estimation, QA and deployment support. The Front End Developer will also work in parallel with remote development teams.
Technical Requirements
• Expert skills with JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, DOM, DHTML, XHTML, JSON, XML.
• Experience with modern JS/AJAX frameworks; jQuery, Dojo JavaScript frameworks.
• Able to efficiently take mockups and build production ready JS/CSS/JSON widgets/pages to specification incorporating cross-browser rendering, performance and display issues.
• Build scalable, efficient UI features for high traffic site, 1.6 million+ daily unique visitors.
• Build widgets; consume Web Services, JSON RPC, SOAP, REST, XML-RPC.
• Familiarity with a server side technology, PHP 5 and or Java.
• Experience connecting widgets/Ajax enabled features with enterprise data, MySQL, Oracle.
• Test driven development experience and iterative process; Agile, Pair / XP, SCRUM a plus.
• Flash, Actionscript experience a plus.
• Version control using Subversion.
• Experience with app servers; Resin, JBoss, Apache and mod_caucho a plus.
