SUMMARY:
We are looking for a talented javascript developer who has experience building high performing dynamic web applications and interfaces. Candidates should know javascript best practices (PageSpeed, YSlow, profiling, optimizing, OO) and be comfortable using the JQuery framework. Ideal candidates will have worked on large templated sites, and have integrated sites with social media platforms.
A strong knowledge of standards-compliant, semantic, cross-browser compatible CSS & (X)HTML is a plus.
Applicants must be able to work in our New York City office, no telecommuters please.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take design and specifications and build cross-browser, high performing interfaces and widgets using javascript/css/json/web services.
• Research and implement best javascript development practices
• Develop and Prototype new features
• Analyze job tasks and provide scope
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced javascript (Ajax, DOM manipulation, JSON, web services, OO best practices).
• Experience building dynamic web interfaces and widgets.
• 5 years+ web development experience
• CS degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with Social Media Platforms and their integration into sites
• Familiarity with a server side technology
• Excellent Communication Skills
