Client Side Web Developer
at CREATETHE GROUP in New York City, NY
CREATETHE GROUP, leading Digital Commerce Provider and innovator online, is looking for talented client-side developers to help build out next-generation presentation-layer interfaces. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a passion for implementing challenging designs, while building user-interfaces that are compliant, user-friendly, and performance tuned.
In this role, you will be developing primarily in XHTML, CSS with exposure to cutting edge Javascript/AJAX framework development. There is also heavy post-Server-Side integration with our Server-Side and Commerce implementation teams.
Our MVC presentation-layer framework facilitates developer productivity and presentation code separation.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to design and implementation of presentation and integration layers. Work closely with designers, engineers and project managers to meet project requirements.
Required:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of related experience with web applications and technologies
- Expert knowledge of client-side technologies including the HTML/CSS/JavaScript stack, AJAX, OO JavaScript, cross-browser compatibility issues, optimization techniques and internationalization issues
- Working knowledge of jQuery or comparable JavaScript framework (e.g. YUI)
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET or comparable backend framework (e.g. Django, Rails)
- Experience working and managing source code in team environment
- Takes strong ownership and responsibility for code quality that follows best practices
- Ability to embrace to new technologies as they become appropriate
Desired:
- Experience with API design and implementation
- Experience developing iPhone and mobile-capable websites
- Experience developing using the HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript stack
- Experience developing Adobe Flash/AS3 applications
- Working knowledge of Adobe CS
- Demonstrated visual-design sensibility
- Links to websites you’ve built
