Position summary:

The Tools GUI Developer is a valued and entrusted position at Getco. This position requires a candidate that understands abstract concepts and is creative & curious in technology, while driven by pragmatism in their deliveries. Candidate must be able to work alone or as a member of a team. Also must be highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Technical skills required:

• Expert knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, JSON, SQL
• Experience delivering highly interactive GUIs (aka RIA)
• Experience designing layouts, UI structure, and discovering usage patterns
• Past delivery of cross-platform interactive interfaces (IE, Gecko, WebKit)

• Ability to suggest and deliver data, charts, and analytics visualizations

Familiarity with the following preferred:

• Processing(.js), Ruby, Python.
• Securities industry knowledge is a plus.

• Ability to add just right amount of flair and eye candy to the interfaces.
