Job Description
• Lead the development of Web UI and middle-tier for our website and Web applications
• Drive adoption of the latest front-end techniques and insure that all front-end uses best practices Take ownership and proactively drive new improvements, new features, and new projects
• Bring together the art of UI with the discipline of good engineering
Essential Function
• Design and lead the development of user interfaces and site flow with JavaScript, AJAX, HTML/DHTML, CSS, XSLT, and a little JSP.
• Apply superior technical skills and deep knowledge to inspire the team and solve the hard problems well
Other Responsibilities
• Participate in delivery and release management Contribute to the full software development life-cycle
• Work on the middle-tier using XSLT, JSP, Struts, etc.
• Set dev standards and address difficult issues yourself
• Working within a global team environment leading developers across time zones
• Stay current in Web related technologies and standards
Qualifications and Characteristics of best candidates in order of importance:
• BS or foreign equivalent in Computer Science/Software Engineering
• Proven ability to schedule and deliver quality software.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Expertise in documenting and discussing design
• 5 years of related experience
• Experience with OO analysis/design
• Experience with developing high volume, consumer facing web sites
• Knowledge of software methodologies and best practices
• 3 years Web front end focused experience
• Experience with Agile or XP methodologies or related processes
• 1 year of lead experience
• Desire to learn new technology on a regular basis
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Passion for games
