Software Engineer - JavaScript - #191

You will work directly with the Chief Architect to define and implement a high-performance and extensible Javascript framework. Your code will be the foundation for all of the company's future engineering to build upon and will impact the lives of over 50 Million customers across a dozen different providers such as Facebook, Myspace, Hi5, Bebo, Friendster, as well as our own WWW and mobile sites. Responsibilities:
• Work with the Chief Architect to develop and maintain JavaScript framework
• Maintain clear patterns, practices, and abstraction layers in order to catalyze front-end development
• Maintain exceptional QA / release standards
Requirements:
• A B.S. in Computer Science from a top-tier university
• Understanding of JavaScript internals, including: prototypal inheritance, function invocation, lexical scoping, event-driven architectures, XSS, and XHR
• Experience with Prototype, JQuery, YUI, MooTools, Dojo, or similar
• Able to quickly break down large problems into tractable pieces
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and spoken)
• (Preferred) 2+ years web engineering experience in a consumer-focused internet company
• (Preferred) Experience with Facebook Connect, Facebook applications, and/or OpenSocial widgets
