This is an exciting and long-term career opportunity. Marketlink is looking for a Webmaster / Junior Front-End Developer to help build and maintain a wide variety of projects in a unique multi-disciplinary, group-focused work environment.

Professional Profile
As a Webmaster / Junior Front-End Developer you will report to the Creative Director and work to maintain the sites and applications that Marketlink has built, conduct updates requested by clients and assist with the construction of new websites and other digital media applications.

You will regularly liaise with clients to help them to keep their web properties up-to-date and looking and working their best. This involves managing the day-to-day operations of websites, trouble-shooting and working with others implement change-requests and improvements in a timely fashion.

Your employment references attest to your ability to provide our customers with exceptional service. Your skills in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and other front-end technologies are absolutely top-notch. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to handle competing timelines and deliverables with ease.

With a college diploma or greater in web development or equivalent real-world experience, you have the necessary skills to provide our clients with a high level of quality and service.

Job Description
This position will liaise closely with clients, project managers, developers and graphic designers by updating and maintaining websites, internet applications and other communication vehicles that span a variety of projects and clients.

As webmaster, you are expected to:

• Have exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Have the ability to prioritize multiple requests and delegate accordingly
• Manage internal and client requested fixes and changes
• Maintain the content of web sites
• Follow departmental standards on coding and promotion practices
• Implement changes and modifications to HTML, Flash and .Net applications
• Investigate reported bugs and errors and take responsibility for the maintenance process
• Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize
• Assist in building sites where appropriate
• Assist in testing new sites and applications

Mandatory Experience and Skills
• High level of competency in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility and best practices
• Demonstrable experience in Adobe Photoshop
• Critical thinking that adds value throughout the entire life-span of a project

Desirable Experience and Skills
• Experience using jQuery JavaScript library
• Demonstrable experience using Adobe Flash
• Knowledge of ASP, ASP.Net, XML, AJAX
• Experience using and implementing CMS solutions
• Experience in Audio/Video Production
• 3 or more years of working experience

Educational Requirements
• College diploma or greater in web development or equivalent real-world experience.
