Location-based services: jQuery & Google Maps API

We are developing a location-based search product that uses jQuery and the Google Maps API. Its initial deployment will be as a yard sale finder: full-text search, date ranges, trip planning. All this work is done. We've recently added support for images and video and we'd like to extend the UI to support this richer content in a pleasing way. (There is just so much information one can put in an Google Maps info window.)
The work you will be doing is jQuery, javascript, and CSS. It's a big plus if you've got a good eye for design. The maps API has wrinkles of its own, so experience with the API would be good. We are looking for a developer, not someone who has just used a couple of jQuery widgets.
The base jQuery/javascript code was written by a superb developer. Extending the current functionality will be straightforward.
We are looking for a mature, focused, efficient, and entrepreneurial developer with a good end-user-focused mindset.
