User Interface Engineer (HTML, CSS, AJAX)

The User Interface Engineer is a key role on the Content Production team. This role is primarily responsible for implementing and updating UI designs and components on a multi-language platform. Critical to this role: experience in front-end web development in .NET, excellent communication skills, high productivity and high quality standards, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
• Implement new and updated UI designs / components.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of production tools and processes.
• Perform unit testing and other quality assurance tasks.
• Interface successfully with other technical and non-technical teams to support core product, local market and cross-functional initiatives.
• Management and update of content elements via proprietary tools.
• Take on administrative and peripheral production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
• 2+ years design and development experience with commercial internet sites.
• Advanced proficiency with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Beginner to intermediate experience with .NET 2.0 and skin files. (.ASCX)
• Applied knowledge of web interface design, usability principles and coding efficiency.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Photoshop (or Adobe CS) and/or Studio MX and Flash.
• Creative thinking and excellent problem solving skills.
• Experience on multi-language sites helpful.
