full time Expert Front-end / Javascript developer

This is a startup company, well-funded, less than 10 employees, and AWESOME location in downtown Manhattan. They’re building a new digital publishing platform entirely using Ruby on Rails. The company is looking for a Javascript developer with a passion for designing easy-to-use and visually stunning web interfaces. There is plenty of upside and room to grow in the position, and the company is willing to offer top salary + stocks for the right candidate.

Technical skills:

* AJAX / JavaScript * CSS / XHTML * Heavy experience with JavaScript libraries * Strong knowledge of browser compatibility issues * Flash/Actionscript is a plus

Traits we’re looking for:

* Meticulous attention to detail * Ability to take ownership of our front-end user experience from day one * Ability to incorporate feedback from customers, employees, and publishing partners in a fast-paced environment * Understanding of usability and marketing concerns * Experience with usability testing is a plus * Experience working in a startup is a plus
