Front End Web Developer with STRONG JS

Responsibilities:
• collaborate with visual design, user interface, optimization, accessibility and usability teams to refine the consumer experience, partner with software engineers and operations to ensure top of the line functionality and interactivity, work with the project manager, team manager and other developers to ensure production deadlines are met
• develop clean, concise, optimized, cross platform/browser user interfaces through CSS, XHTML, Javascript, AJAX, JSON
• develop low and high fidelity functional design prototypes to demonstrate UI and visual design "steel thread" proof of concepts.
• be a product owner and advocate, dedicated to the engagement and experience of the user
• be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time, focus on internal best practices, coding, testing and documenting; determining specifications, expanding templates to work across a network of sites
• receive minimal supervision and generally should be able to work independently or within a team and demonstrate eagerness to contribute to a better and more interoperable Web, and enthusiasm for the mission and spirit of what’s required for the company; be energetic, creative individual with experience producing web pages in a fast-paced environment
• focus on internal best practices, coding, testing and documenting; determining specifications, modifying and expanding global libraries of code to work across a network of sites
• have experience of a client-side scripting framework implementation that assists with Ajax client/server communications but also facilitates dynamic presentation layer effects; have a good understanding of unobtrusive javascript coding and multiple event listening/handling on a single document
Main Technical Requirements:
• XHTML/HTML, CSS, DHTML , JAVASCRIPT, DOM scripting, AJAX / JSON with a focus on cross browser, cross platform implementation
• XML / XSLT / RSS knowledge and experience
• A commitment to web standards and working knowledge of W3C DOM methods and properties
• Excellent coding proficiency. Ability to write clean, concise, commented code
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Working knowledge with Adobe Photoshop
