Computer Programmer (WEB UI developer)

Job Summary:
We're currently recruiting for a full-time javascript/AJAX developer. The qualified candidate will focus on Web 2.0 UI development backed by a Python/Django server side and external data web-services. The UI application is designed as a portal system to view scientific data. Our system also offers a simple plugin interface for external scientific developers to extend the core application. It also includes many Web 2.0 and social networking features, allowing users to customize their layouts, submit new data and share components with other users. This plugin system will also include popularity-based metrics for ranking contributed data and plugins.
Requirements:
2+ years experience with AJAX web UI development
Solid skills in OO Javascript and AJAX programming
Strong experience with DHTML, XML, CSS and other web technologies
Comfortable with Python as the server-side language
Excellent communication and team-work skills
Plus:
Ext Javascript Library
Python/Django framework
Experience in life science industry
Flex
Experience with SVN version control system
Web graphics
