Web Designer
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design of overall look and feel and workflow of an easy to use graphical user interface for a standards based web application.
• Developing UI mockups with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Design the graphics needed for the application.
• Creating new layouts as needed including designing and coding pages and incorporating text, graphics, multimedia, and other features.
• Maintaining consistency and quality control of design.
• Providing ongoing graphics support and design/layout.
• Developing, documenting and maintaining standards and structure.
• Capable of collaboration with business analysts and end users.
Requirements:
• B.S. or M.S. in Liberal Arts or Engineering with proven track record in developing world class, standards based, web applications.
• Proficiency in the entire web design process: user interface design/workflow, wireframe, mockup/design, markup in HTML and CSS, and behavior using JavaScript.
• Solid background of JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, XHTML, CSS.
• Knowledge and experience in maintaining cross-browser compatibility (IE, Firefox, Safari).
• Able to understand JSF, Java, and interface with Java developers
• 3+ years HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, 2+ years in Photoshop, Dreamweaver
• Experience with CVS/SVN
• Self-motivated; creative thinker, problem solver, team player
