Front End Developer
at Flip Video - Cisco Consumer Products in San Francisco, CA
Our profitable rapidly growing company has an opportunity for a passionate and talented Web Developer to work with our smart, fun-loving team in SOMA San Francisco.
The successful candidate will join us to help aggressively develop new capabilities in video sharing for our consumer camcorders. We’re creating a breakthrough online experience for camcorder owners, their friends and families.
This is a full-time employee position.
Requirements for this position:
- 5+ years experience developing notable, high-visibility Web sites
- Extensive experience in hand coding of HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, JSON and familiarity with web standards and CSS-driven layouts
- Experience with jQuery and/or similar JavaScript libraries.
- Ability to create functional HTML pages from design mockups
- Experience with JavaScript programming and solid understanding of DOM, DHTML and AJAX
- Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions for dynamic Web applications
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with version control systems such as Perforce/CVS/Subversion.
- Experience with bug-tracking systems such as Jira/FogBugz/Bugzilla.
- Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2008 or earlier version.
- Ability to work efficiently with QA testers.
Matching candidates will also have:
- Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability and willingness to be hands-on with any technology. An adventurous attitude where if “it hasn’t been done” a “way to do it” is researched and invented.
- The desire to be part of a talented, multi-disciplinary team that includes graphic artists, application developers, Web 2.0 front-end developers, back-end developers, infrastructure experts and quality assurance staff.

We are building a collaborative environment where all team members work on site during core business hours. Telecommuting is optional on a limited basis if it doesn’t inhibit collaboration and productivity.
