Associate Technical Writer, Temporary to Permanent

Position Summary:
Work with the Technical Writer to produce accurate, comprehensive, and clear end-user documentation for newly developed software products.
Essential Job Duties:
• Work with internal developers and product managers to develop User Guide documentation for commercial software products.
• Create Produce Release Notes documenting new functionality, bug fixes, and known issues in each released version of the code.
• Update and create Installation Guides for the new and existing products.
• Support the team for the successful launch of each product release
Supervisory Duties:
None.
Job Qualifications:
Education / Experience: Working towards a bachelor’s degree in a computer or technology-related field, or 1+ years experience working in the area of technical writing.
Necessary Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience writing end-user documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Good familiarity with Microsoft operating systems.
• Experience working with software engineers and product managers.
Desirable Skills/Abilities:
• Experience creating on-line help.
• Experience working with web applications.
• Experience working with defect-tracking software.
• Experience creating documentation for a company intranet.
• Knowledge of the financial industry.
