freelance Front End/UI Developer, HTML, JQuery, CSS,

Working in the Technology Solutions group. Work directly with the Manager, Technology Solutions, the Front-End Web Developer position will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating high quality, engaging, and innovative web-based deliverables and product customizations for the corporate market.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce and maintain clean, high quality, standards-compliant code.
• Implement cross-browser/cross-platform user interface (UI) in an agile development environment.
• Demonstrate familiarity and experience with quality assurance and software usability testing best practices, providing feedback and fixes to improve performance, presentation, and compatibility.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility including knowledge of and ability to solve common associated issues as well as investigate and troubleshoot complex inconsistencies.
• Develop with user-centered design principles, particularly with a focus on information architecture, site flow, visual design, accessibility, browser capabilities/limitations.
• Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards including, but not limited to, modern web browser capabilities, compatibility issues, and behavior related to the use of different DOCTYPE declarations, character encoding, W3C standards compliance and accessibility issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, with at least 3 years of experience in a hands-on web development or internet development position. The candidate must be a self-starter with a technical skill focus and a sound understanding of current electronic delivery, e-learning trends, and of Internet/Intranet technology. Strong project management skills and outstanding communication skills are required, as this position directly interfaces with internal sales staff as well as with clients who have a wide range of comfort with technology. A demonstrated ability to identify root causes of technical issues as well as to provide solutions under resource and time constraints, and the ability to multi-task and work effectively with cross-functional workgroups are both essential.
Key Technical Skills
Troubleshooting interactive web programming using HTML, XHTML, CSS, DOM-scripting, jQuery, PHP, ASP, XML
Mid-level, at least 3 years direct experience

Knowledge about servers, browsers, browser plug-ins, firewalls, security settings on corporate intranet networks, and streaming media
Mid-level, at least 2 years direct experience

Web programming using XHTML and HTML while applying web standards and sensitivity to accessibility issues
Mid-level, at least 2 years direct experience

jQuery
Mid-level, at least 2+ years direct experience

Minor graphics work, flash development, traditionally image/audio/video editing and image manipulation, is required.


Adobe Photoshop
Mid-level, at least 2 years direct experience

Adobe Flash
Basic level, at least 1 year direct experience

Adobe Dreamweaver
Mid-level, at least 2 years direct experience

FTP software
Basic level, at least 1 year direct experience

Familiarity with principles of user-centered design and usability testing helpful.
