Sr. Web Developer, Mobile

Primary Job Responsibilities:
PayPal is the largest, global web-based payment web site that millions of people use every day. The web development team is seeking a qualified and dedicated web developer with the drive to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Working with cross functional teams of designers, engineers and product managers, you will be defining the future of online payments while pushing the limits of web development. Your ability to be creative and resourceful in problem solving while working effectively with a range of technical backgrounds is extremely important in this position.
Job Requirements:
• Expert HTML/CSS/JS/AJAX coding capabilities. HTML5 and CSS3 are plus.
• Expert knowledge of webkit, mobile browsers on multitude of devices, cross-browser capabilities and coding techniques.
• Expert knowledge of rendering capabilities, limitations and standards. Experience with a UI rendering software is a plus.
• Experience with SMS and MMS.
• Experience with XML and at least one common web application scripting language (PHP, ASP, JSP, etc).
• Hands-on programming experience on mobile application platforms like, iPhone, Android, Palm OS, Windows Mobile 5, BREW, Symbian OS or other mobile software development like J2ME experience is a plus.
• Experience building international web sites and have a solid understanding of localization best practices.
• Highly competent with user interface, information architecture principles and the intricacies of web site design for complex information or functionality.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
• Working with cross functional teams to identify and define solutions that meet customers' needs
• Taking strong ownership and responsibility for code quality that follows best practices
• Strong passion for learning and adapting to new technologies
• Excellent communication and strong written skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
