At Mark Logic, we’re looking for a talented front end engineer who wants to go beyond Javascript and AJAX to prototype and develop new browser-based productivity applications using our breakthrough XML content application development platform.
The ideal candidate enjoys learning new technologies, has a great sense of what makes for a compelling user experience, and works extremely well in environments where being able to intelligently set your own milestones is as important as meeting the ones the team sets for you.
We are a small, tight-knit technical team who cares most about getting to the right answer, not about who gets it. We take pride in the fact that our software just works. And we’re getting interested in investigating a new world of applications based on new XML content formats being introduced by some of the world’s largest companies, including Microsoft and Adobe.

Qualifications:
Solid communication and problem-solving skills are a given. You should also have:
Strong web design skills, including in CSS and knowledge of common JS frameworks like YUI, JQuery
Rapid prototyping experience
Ability to work within a highly engineering-driven environment
Proven interaction design success in commercial products
Experience in software engineering with non-UI-related programming
Ability to conduct usability testing for actionable changes
Desired:
Information architecture knowledge
XForms and/or RIA experience
SVG and/or browser vector graphics experience
Graphic design skills with software like Photoshop, Illustrator
