Lead UI Architect/Developer
at Web 2.0 Startup in New York City, NY
Exciting ground floor opportunity at a Web 2.0 startup to join as a lead UI Architect/Developer.
Position Responsibilities:
- Hands on development of Web 2.0 UI application.
- Work with technical team to set design and technical direction.
- Compose, edit and maintain internal documentation for application development.
- Participate in product deployments, upgrades and maintenance.
- Design and development of deployment tools for software deployments and upgrades.
- Participate in data model design discussions.
- Participate in operations/support activities as appropriate
- Provide guidance to junior members of the team as appropriate.
- Succeed in a high intensity agile environment.
- Ensure the quality of delivered code.
Requirements
- Strong JavaScript, HTML/DHTML, XML, Ajax experience.
- Demonstrable experience with JQuery or other JavaScript frameworks.
- Ability to show past UI work.
- Experience working with JSP in a Java/J2EE environment.
- Familiarity with several of the following technologies: JSP, EJB, CSS, AJAX, DHTML, Ant, Log4J, JUnit, JDBC, JSC, JDNI, XML, XSD, JavaScript, JQuery, SOAP and WDSL.
- MVC design pattern.
- 5+ years relevant experience
- BA/BS Degree in technical discipline or equivalent
- Demonstrated success in end to end complex multi-tier application development project.
Nice to Have
- Java/J2EE/Servlets
- Spring MVC / Hibernate
- Experience with MySQL or other RDMS
