Summary:
Looking for a front-end guru to join an exciting, fast paced, well funded startup website in the Boston area.

The ideal candidate will have experience with front-end website development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript. AJAX skills and experience with Java technologies/JSP a plus. The candidate will be an individual contributor responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation and implementation of the front-end tier of new product features.

This is a full time position, no telecommuters or consultants please.

Requirements:
Expert HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge.
Standards-compliant hand coding skills.
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
Experience with AJAX and Flash is highly desired.
Experience working in a Java/J2EE website development environment is a plus.
Knowledge of content management systems and practices is a plus.
Knowledge of relational databases and XML is a plus.
Must be capable of close collaboration with the Creative organization.
Excellent time management skills and ability to take responsibility for deliverables.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Hands on experience with both Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities:
Work directly with Product Management and Creative to understand business requirements and desired front-end functionality.
Provide expert guidance on website user-interface best practices and options
Perform analysis, design, coding, and unit testing of the front-end of a multi-tiered website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies.
Work with the QA team to hand-off completed development tasks for final testing
Support ongoing release cycle
